Peppercorn Hill Park Development
Supply, install, and finishing of custom park seating for new subdivision projects across Melbourne's northern suburbs, including premium timber finishes.
The brief
Peppercorn Hill is a new estate in Melbourne's northern suburbs, and the park needed custom seating you cannot buy off a shelf: long curved hardwood benches with backrests, and matching picnic settings. We built them across a couple of stages of the estate, all kiln-dried hardwood, so the set-out had to be right and the curves had to run clean and even.
How we built it
The seats are kiln-dried hardwood, cut and shaped to the curve then fixed down over the frames. We kept the timber flowing through the bend with even gaps between the boards, ran the backrests to match, and set the picnic settings alongside. Everything was pre-drilled and bolted down solid so it stays straight and stays put in a public park.
The outcome
Curved seating and picnic settings built and installed across the estate, the timber running clean through every curve. Handed over to the estate ready for the public to use.
